Improving wellbeing is one of the many positive outcomes of practicing mindfulness and meditation. When we lose our sense of aliveness and wellbeing, whether we lose it to the daily grind, loss, grief, or depression, we can reawaken it through meditation.
The natural instinct during difficult times is to do nothing or to keep doing what we have been doing, but when we keep doing what we have been doing, we’ll keep getting what we’ve been getting. Try making a list of things that awaken your mind, open your heart, nurture and calm your body, stir your soul, and make you come alive. Pick one of the things on your list, and do it today. Bring mindful awareness to notice the habits of resistance in your mind, and do it anyway for the sake of improving wellbeing and resilience.
