Creating Deep and Authentic Connection

How do we create deep connection with ourselves and others? We move through life with our hearts either open or closed. We either embrace vulnerability and take risks to move toward what we want, or we shut down and move away from it.

We either approach ourselves and others with tenderness, love, and compassion, or we engage in sarcasm and judgment  from a place of our own fear and discomfort. When we approach ourselves and others with lovingkindness and compassion, this facilitates a greater sense of peace, happiness, and resilience. It also opens the door for more authentic and meaningful connection with ourselves and others.

Mindfulness is awareness of the present moment with kindness. How can we bring mindfulness into our relationship with ourselves and others as a way of nurturing a deeper and more authentic experience?

Try opening your heart today. Approach yourself and the ones you love with tenderness, openness, and honesty. Be willing to be vulnerable, and allow your authentic self to be seen and known by someone you love and trust. Open your heart. Embrace deep connection with yourself and others.

Connection: the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.
