Finding Refuge in Silence with Mindfulness

Finding refuge in silence and stillness offers fertile ground of personal and spiritual growth for those who are courageous enough to traverse the terrain. Many are busy filling time with the “noisy company and pandemonium” of busy activity or numbing substances to chase away the fear.

Fear seeks noisy company and pandemonium to scare away the demons—C.G. Jung

Through mindfulness, we find practice finding refuge in the silence, learn to embrace our inner darkness and our inner light, and encounter a sense of peace and wellbeing that we never imagined possible. In deepening our practice, we cultivate a love and compassion for ourselves that inclines us to prioritize our wellbeing and return again and again to the possibilities that silence holds.
