New Beginning

A new beginning is available at the end of each day and beginning of each day. As each day ends, may we look forward to the coming dawn as a new beginning. Let us all take the time to look back upon the moments of happiness, love, awe, wonder, peace, loss, fear, heartache, and confusion of the day with gratitude for the opportunities to awaken and grow. Use the ending of the day and new beginning of the coming day to take an honest assessment of who you are, who you want to be, and how you want your life to be.

Choose one word as your point of focus to guide you toward your intentions  Who do you want to be in the world? What matters most to you? Write it down in a mindful journaling practice. Whisper it softly to yourself. Hold it as hope. Affirm it at the end of each day and new beginning of the next day as your growing reality.

How different our lives are when we really know what is deeply important to us, and keeping that picture in mind, we manage ourselves each day to be and to do what really matters most. –Stephen R. Covey

I am inspired by your posting. As a counselor in addiction services, I have been striving to listen more closely to my intuitive self. The word that bubbles up for me from my inmost core today is Grace. I thank you for this gift today.

I seek to become both more gracious and more graceful. But mostly I know that grace, received, is “unmerited favor”. I feel blessed by this kind of grace and wish to share it with others.

Elizabeth, thanks for your kind comment. Grace… what a lovely word for the coming year. And what a beautiful description of grace received as unmerited favor. I just posted something on my Facebook page about listening. Please connect with me there if you haven’t already. Thanks for sharing your grace here today and supporting me in manifesting my word for the year, which is Connection. May grace be returned to you again and again throughout the year.

Warmly,
Jen
