Be Your Best Self

How can you be your best self? Who do you want to be in the world? Do you dare to imagine a vision of you as a healthy, peaceful, balanced person physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually? Or do you lack a clear vision of yourself at your best but long for one or two aspects of your life to change?

If you’re struggling to become the version of yourself that you imagine, can you identify what is getting in your way? What are your resistances to growing and changing? Common resistances can include fear of failure, lack of belief in one’s ability to change, fear of success, the struggle to prioritize personal growth, feeling too busy to focus on personal growth, or not knowing how to create lasting change.

Change happens one step at a time. Try starting with the mindful journaling prompts below, and then try creating a plan that breaks down your next action steps.

Mindful Journaling prompts: Who do you want to be in the world? Do your decisions, choices, thoughts, feelings, and actions support the vision of your best self? Who do you want to be in the world? What are you willing to do to live into the vision to be your best self?

Our health—and indeed our entire lives—can be seen as the sum of all our moment-to-moment decisions.
