The World is Waiting for Your Authentic Voice

Authentic voice is our unique perspective and voice. When we find and own our authentic voice, we speak up on behalf of our own wellbeing as well as the wellbeing of others and the Earth.

We each have qualities that make us unique. The tendency of the mind is to focus on wishing we were different and more like others. If we were all the same, the world would become less diverse, less interesting, and less wholesome. Our individual differences and uniqueness mean that we each serve a unique role in the world that can serve the wellbeing of humankind and the Earth.

Try examining your own life experiences. What unique perspective do you have on something in the world due to your own experiences? If you grew up with a parent who struggled with addiction, do you have the capacity to offer empathy and compassion toward others who struggle with addiction or who love people with addiction? If you have gone through other types of difficult experiences, such as loss, illness, catastrophic injury, climate disaster, or mental health concerns, do you have greater compassion for people who have experienced some type of struggle?

Mindful journaling practice:
What is my authentic voice?
What unique perspective can I offer the world?
What difficulty have I gone through?
How have difficult events resulted in personal growth?
What meaning have I made from life’s difficulties?

As we become more firmly grounded in our own voice, there are those who would prefer that we remain weak and silent who may offer harsh criticism from the place of their own self-doubt, and still we must own our voice. Embrace your authentic self. Own your super power. Your uniqueness is what makes you beautiful. The world is waiting for your voice.
