Being in silence in meditation is not about achieving anything, including an empty mind. When we learn to practice being in silence, we can access the infinite potential that lies within us. Being still and silent, let go of outer distractions and then turn the attention to deep listening to present moment experience.
Pause, soften, and become curious about what is happening in this moment. Notice any sensations, feelings and thoughts that are here. Practice being with your moment-to-moment experience without becoming reactive or attached to it. Rest your attention on whatever arises and watch it come and go, like a wave rising, cresting and falling. Observe what happens as you become more intimate with your own experience of being in silence.
