Holding Hope

How can we find hope during difficult times? My heart goes out to people who are living with their own sense of tragedy or loss.

In the midst of fear, disconnection, and loss, how can we remain connected with a sense of hope? By turning toward what sustains us, what provides genuine comfort, and what helps us to feel connection, belonging, and openheartedness. We can find refuge by going in and in and in until our heart breaks open and we find the steady rhythm of our own breath.

“There is a saying in Tibetan, ‘Tragedy should be utilized as a source of strength.’ No matter what sort of difficulties, how painful experience is, if we lose our hope, that’s our real disaster.” –Dalai Lama XIV
